In South Australia non-registered health care workers are governed by Code of Conduct for Certain Health Care Workers please follow link to review the official code available on the Health and Community Services website. I have added it below for easy viewing and to form the basis of my own code of ethics for massage with the addition of further points which align with my personal massage practices.
As a Professional Massage Therapist
I do not replace a qualified healthcare professional, financial advisor, lawyer, counsellor or any other provider outside of massage. I will not provide advice on these areas and my services are in no way, shape or form a valid replacement for these services.
If appropriate I will suggest you consult with a qualified professional should if by connection or in passing an appointment touches on those areas mentioned in the above paragraph or through conversation that lead me to believe you or someone close to you could be endangered or put in a life-threatening situation.
I reserve the right to refuse service at my discretion. This includes when I feel a client is using massage therapy to substitute, instead of supplement help from the above-mentioned qualified providers.
I am an open-minded, honest, empathetic and compassionate individual that respects all people as individuals without prejudice. I will not tolerate abusive, aggressive, violent or derogatory behaviour of any kind.
Clients Under 18
- If you are under 18 you must have parent or guardian consent and a parent/guardian accompanying you at all appointments
Scope of Profession, Services, Ethics and Limitations
- I conduct massage therapy within the scope of my experience, personal and professional ethical boundaries
- I’ll never misrepresent outcomes of services offered and only provide these within scope of training and experience
Fees, Payments and Refund Policy
- This is a paid service. The fee will be agreed and paid for prior to the massage occurring or just after completion
- Massage services provided by Kimberly Jade do not qualify for private health rebate
- I do not give refunds after the service has been provided, if you have an issue with my services please contact me to discuss
- 24 hours required notice for cancellation or you will be charged the full fee
- If using a third party payment service such as PayPal, you are responsible for understanding and agreeing to their Terms of Service prior to paying for one of my services
- I state my prices accurately and openly
- I will disclose if I earn gratuities from any products I recommend
Continuing Professional Development
- To best serve; I will expand my knowledge of massage therapy, incorporate other modalities and keep updated with changes to best practice techniques and use of massage therapy
Public Service
- I will dedicate a percentage of my monthly schedule to help others struggling financially or with accessibility through free massage therapy to empower them on their journey
- Contact me by email kimberly@lovingguidingenergy.com to discuss your needs. If I feel you will be better served by another professional first, I will suggest you seek referral to their care first before undertaking any service by me
- Referrals will be based on which qualified professional will best serve you as ascertained from my best judgement
Confidentiality and Privacy Policy
- I keep private and personal client information confidential
- I retain and store records of client appointments, private and personal details as by a means of contacting clients, maintaining adequate and accurate clinical notes on their progress and treatment cycles
- I will reveal personal or private information if I reasonably believe it is necessary to prevent substantial bodily harm or death, or a court order overrides the confidentiality

Safety of Clients, Myself and Others
- I will facilitate safe working practices compliant with occupational workplace health and safety standards, use best quality products ensuring proper hygiene and equipment standards of safety and knowledge on proper usage
